Chain snatcher held in city 10/27/2015 11:29:10 PM Early times Report Jammu, Oct 27: Police today claimed to have arrested a chain snatcher and recovered a gold chain weighing 2 tolas from his possession. A case stands registered in this regard. "The accused has been identified as Munish Gupta of H-No 83 Rehari Colony Jammu, police sources said Police spokesman said that a chain snatcher was apprehended from Vikas Nagar near post office at around 6:00pm by police with the help of locals when he snatched a golden chain of 2 tolas (approx) of one lady pedestrian namely Anuradha w/o Surinder Raina of Vikas Nagar who was going back to her house from market. "The arrest was made by Station House Officer (SHO) Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Khajuria, in-charge police post Sarwal SI Vikas Hans under the supervision of SDPO West (incharge) Vivek Shekhar," Police said.
