Abducted Kashmir based 'cab driver' rescued after 3 days | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 27: Police claimed to have rescued a Kashmir based taxi driver who was allegedly abducted by three unidentified youth after the driver resisted their request to smuggle bovines from Bhagwati Nagar area. Police sources have identified the abducted as Farooq Ahmed Shah Kashmir based taxi driver. Quoting the victim, Police sources said that the complainant in his complaint alleged that two days ago three unidentified youth hired his taxi for tourists and took him to Bhagwati Nagar where he was forced to carry bovines in his vehicle. "When he denied to do so, the trio abducted him to unknown place, sources said. Police today rescued the victim after three days and also seized the taxi also. However, the abductors managed to escape from the spot. Police said that a case in this connection has been registered under sections 366, 342 and 109 of RPC while further investigation is on. |
