Forest guard beats up 2 students on trifle issue | | | Early Times Report Poonch, Oct 27: In a blatant misuse of might, a Forest Guard beat up two students of class 8th of Government Middle School Berja Mankote over a trifle issue, in school premises in presence of teacher. Sources told Early Times that the Forest Guard, who was identified Mohammad Shabir, son of Mohammad Afzal resident of Mankote beat up two students of class 8th namely Mohammad Tahil son of Mohammad Shameem resident of Mankote and Mohammad Asif son of Mohammad Zabir on an ordinary issue and received severe injuries and were admitted to hospital for treatment. BMO Mendhar PA Khan confirmed that two children were admitted in the hospital and were treated as they were severely injured when they were brought in. Later a complaint was lodged in Police Station Mendhar against the Forest Guard. Eye witnesses said that forest guard beat up the boys accusing them of beating his daughter, which was however not confirmed by anyone. When contacted SHO Mendhar said that he had taken cognizance of the matter and a complaint in this regard is stand registered, however FIR has not been lodged till date.
