Awareness camp on 'Road Safety' held | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Oct 27 : Motor Vehicle Department Ramban in collaboration with Paryas Hemkrish Model School (PHMS) and Navyog Margdarshan Society, Ramban organised awareness programme on road safety at PHMS Govind pura Ramban and MLA Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh was the chief guest on the occasion. MLA Ramban flagged off an awareness rally on 'Road Safety' which was taken out from the premises of PHMS Govind Pura and passed through main roads and Maitra Market and culminated at the place of origination. Meanwhile Vedika Kamakshi student of 2nd class adjudged overall best in debate competition on the topic "How to prevent road accidents" was organised by the PHMS at same institution in which students of PHMS and GHSS Boys Ramban were participated, while Siyara Katoch and Tehseen Bali students of 5th class secured second and third position in the competition and Abrar Bali student of 9th class of HSS Ramban gets consolation prize. Speaking on the occasion MLA Ramban advised the participants to avoid over speeding, racing, drunken driving use of mobile phone while driving, wrong overtaking and underage driving to stop loss of precious human lives and asked Participants to take all necessary measures for enjoying safe driving and healthy life. ARTO Ramban Shammi Kumar interacted with the students and staff members during the interaction session He informed that more than 80% road accidents can be stopped by obeying the traffic rules. Dy. SP Traffic Kameshwar Puri stressed upon the youth to bear helmet and seat belt while driving two wheeler or four wheeler to avoid fatal injuries. He also advised them to obey traffic rules in order to stop loss of lives in road accidents. |
