| GCOE organizes lecture on 'Environmental Conservation' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 27 : Government College Of Education (GCOE), Jammu organized a lecture on the theme, Environmental Conservation- need of the hour in Government Girls High Secondary School, Bakshi Nagar Jammu which is one of the adopted schools under the College Cluster Scheme of Govt. of J&K. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Harmanmeet Kour. In the beginning of the programme, the head of the institution Shashi Prabha Thapa addressed the gathering and warmly welcomed the faculty members of the college for their presence in the school and planning interaction with teachers and senior students of the school. She also appreciated the linkage of school and B.Ed College under the College Cluster Scheme.
Dr. Neelam Dhar , Associate Professor , Education ,GCOE , Jammu introduced the gathering about the importance of environmental conservation and proceedings of the programme.
Prof. Harmanmeet in her lecture talked about environmental issues and challenges in the present scenario and how these are affecting the day to day life of a common man. She emphasized the importantance and role each one of us can play to conserve the environment. The presentation was followed by interaction where the presenter satisfied the queries of all the students. In the end of the program all the participants took pledge to conserve and save environment. |
