UDHAMPUR, Oct 27 : In order to promote safe blood donation, NSS units of Government College for Women Udhampur today organised a blood donation camp under their ongoing month-long blood donation campaign. In the camp, about 15 NSS volunteers donated their blood including Diksha, Pinki, Mamta Thakur, Pooja Devi, Soloni Rajput, Meena, Shivaya, Seema, Manika Sharma, Simran, Osheen, Kanisha and Swarna Bhougal. Prof K S Koushal, Principal GCW Udhampur, Dr Chander Parkash, Chief medical officer Udhampur and Dr Narinder Bhatial, superintendent District Hospital Udhampur were present on the occasion. The camp was organised by NSS programme officers of GCW Udhampur, Dr Mool Raj and Prof Swarna Bhougal. Dr Narinder Bhatial addressed the NSS volunteers and exhorted upon the significance of blood donation. He appreciated the volunteers and said that they can inspire and motivate others to donate blood and help in this cause. Prof K S Koushal, Principal GCW Udhampur also admired the volunteers for their contribution for the noble cause. |
