Youth show resentment over growing unemployment | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Feb 10: Unemployed youths of Kishtwar today held a meeting under the banner of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union and showed their anger over growing of unemployment. According to press release, Joginder Bhandari Chairman CPPWU who chaired the meet said that MLA Kishtwar Sunil Sharma during his assembly election campaigning had promised to start Pakal Dul hydroelectric project and restarting of Rattle H.E project for generating more avenue, so that the youth get the jobs opportunities but it is a matter of great concern that he did nothing for the unemployed youths so far. Bhandari further said that the officials of Pakal Dul hydroelectric project are doing nothing but getting salaries and withdrawal of TA's which monthly goes more than Rs.2 crores. "Ironically no work on ground level has been taken so far for last five years". He said the work upon the Rattle project Drabshalla is still hanged in balance since July 2014 .It is pertinent to mention here that the work of Rattle project was suspended by its client GVK in July 2014 due to unknown reason and consequently 493 youths engaged in the project were retrenched from the job. Bhandari urged upon the Governor N.N Vohra to immediate start these projects so that the unemployed youths could be absorbed>
