ACR asks SDM to submit report ET report vindicated 2/12/2016 11:52:08 PM MS Nazki Poonch, Feb 12: Taking cognizance of news item published in Early Times on February 6, under caption "Corruption galore in Mendhar town"….. Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Poonch Mohammad Ashraf Chowdhary has shot a communiqué to Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar Thakur Sher Singh asking him to submit report within two days in his office, sources said. Highly placed sources said that corruption is at its peak in Revenue department. In Mendhar agents allegedly loot gullible people for getting their petty works done. There is nexus between Revenue Officials with the agents and records were being tampered in many cases. The Patwari who was suspended for his misdeeds managed to grease the palms of concerned authorities to get himself posted again in Mendhar town, sources added. Corruption in the town was exposed by this news paper in its Feb 6, 2016 edition the administration took cognizance of the matter.
