MGNREGA discrepancies : DC Kishtwar summons RDD staff of Sigdi Panchayat through BDO 2/12/2016 11:55:17 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Feb 12 : Acting on the public complaint over non release of full payments by the Rural Development Department (RDD) against the work executed under Mahatama Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in Sigdi Panchayat of Block Mughal Maidan, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan summoned employees of the department through Block Development Officer (BDO) asking the concern to appear in his office tomorrow along with relevant record pertain to the said Panchayat. As per the details available with "Early Times" complainants namely Abdul Qayoom s/o Faqira, Muneer Hussain s/o Ahmadoo, Faqera s/o Sanyee all resident of Balana Sigdi of Mughal Maidan block of Chatroo Sub Division of Kishtwar District approached the office of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and lodged complaint alleging therein that against the work done of Rs 7000/- job card, the officials of the department paid only Rs 1800/- to them added that beside Rs 1800/-, the department paid Rs 5400/- as carriage charge for transportation of the cement. Complainants further have alleged that the job card holders executed the work of Pakka Path in Sigdi Balana in the year 2014-15 and added that against the work done they only received Rs 1800/- in their accounts in the ongoing month of this year (February 2016) which left them surprised and shocked also. After giving patience hearing to the complainants, DC Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan directed BDO Mughal Maidan to examine the matter and to take necessary action under rule with intimation to his office, beside this DC also issued summons to the concern officials of the department including Junior Engineer, Village Level Worker and Gram Rozgar Sevak working in Sigdi Balana with the directions to appear in person at his office with relevant record pertain to said area for verification.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
