| Excise Com chairs revenue review meeting | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12 : The Excise Commissioner Tsering Angchuk took Revenue Review meeting of various officers of Excise and Taxation Department on Friday here at Excise and Taxation Complex.
According to press release, during meeting the over-all growth scenario of the revenue receipts of the Department for the month of January and total revenue realized till the month of January for the financial year 2015-16 was discussed threadbare and examined critically.
The total revenue realized by the Excise Department during the month of January 2015-16 has been recorded to the tune of Rs. 94.86 Crores in comparison to the 82.96 Crores realized during January, 2014-15. Upto the month of January, 2015-16, the department has realized an amount of Rs. 962.18 Crores as against Rs. 831.37 Crores upto the month of January, 2014-15.
The Commissioner appreciated the efforts made by the field functionaries for maintaining the consistent growth of fifteen percent in revenue realisation. At toll post Lakhanpur there has been an increase of 17.81 percent in revenue realisation during the month of Junuary 2016 and 16.17 percent upto the period 31st January 2016 as compared to the corresponding period of previous year.
