| Protest against PWD held | | |  Early Times Report
Banihal, Apr 3: On bad condition of local link roads of tehsil Pogal Parestan in district Ramban, the locals of the area staged a protest against the public works department PWD on Makerkote Ukhral road near Ukhral market.
Sources said that the locals of Ukheral and it's adjoining staged a protest against the PWD department and shouted slogans against the department. Angry protester also burnt effigies of PWD and demanded immediate maintenance of link roads of the area.
Locals and drivers who play on these link roads said that they are playing on these roads on risk because of worst ever condition of roads. They said that they had requested many times to the concerned AEE, and JE of the department even XEn to kindly maintain these link roads but they give always only assurances to them which forced them to come on roads.
The protesters after the protest burnt the effigy of PWD and handed over a written memorandum to Tehsildar Ukhral Majid Chodhary for earlier readdresal of their problems. |
