CSNGEU expects Mehbooba to provide succour to employees

Jammu, Apr 3 : President, J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee Chairman, Ghulam Rasool Mir, Sunday articulated dismay over the non inclusion of key employees' demands like, cadre review /Career Progress, removal of long pending pay anomalies DA release, enhancement of Danbar TA, TMA, MA and refreshment charges, revival of LTC, reduction in qualifying service, in Appropriation Bill passed by the State Administrative Council as commitment made by Government.
During Goverrnor's rule Darbar Move Employees suffered a lot as a not a single issue was addressed notwithstanding assurances from the concerned authorities. First time Darbar Move Employees have not been provided ration since implementation of NFSA.
Another big problem was lack of security in the residential colonies of employees though some the employees having been injured by the local goons.
These are the employees who are working round the clock for government but still the administration didn't redress their genuine demands when their genuine issues remain unresolved. In a statement issued in the winter capital, Mir wondered how could the present dispensation sideline such crucial issues of working class when it decided on a policy issue like Mediclaim concerning around three lakh employees of the State in a hush hush manner. CSNGEU president said the Employees unions have already sounded caution and reservations about the implementation of the Medi claim policy. He said in several meetings with the Government functionaries CSNGEU had given many suggestions to the Government for effective implementation of the policy, if at all it is to be implemented properly.
Among others, the suggestions included enlistment of all major and reputed hospital chains within the ambit of the policy, all dependents of an employee to be covered under the policy, enhancement of the sum assured, inclusion of all diagnostic tests and OPD charges and reimbursements besides cash back facility.
He said that the employees have high hopes that the Chief Minister designate- Mehbooba Mufti shall provide succour to the suffering working class of the State. He hoped that provision for career /Cadre review of NG employee on the anology of IAS/KAS cadre DA release, enhancement of Move TA. TMA, LTC, qualifying service and provision of implementation of 7th Pay Commission would be made in the budget of the next government
All the demands were put forth by union before the then Chief Minister late mufti Muhammad sayeed who had assured at that time that all demands would be redressed.
