One bovine smuggler held, 15 animals rescued

Udhampur, Apr 16: Police today foiled one attempts of bovine smuggling with the arrest of one biovine smuggler while rescuing fifteen (15) animals which were being smuggled towards valley. The police have identified the accused as Naseer Ahmed (Driver) s/o Gulam Mohiudeen of Bijbehara, Anantnag Kashmir.
According to the police sources, acting on reliable information, a police party of Police Station Rehambal laid a surprise naka at Falata in National Highway and intercepted one Truck bearing regd no: JK03E-2102, on way towards Kashmir. "During thorough search, the Truck was found loaded with 15 bovine animals, police said and added that Police rescued these animals and seized the truck besides arresting the above said smuggler. Meanwhile Rehambal police have registered a case under Section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act and further investigations are on.
