After removal of Menon, future of J&K BJP's Sangathan Mantri also hangs in balance | | | Early Times Report NEW DELHI, Apr 16: After successfully removing Arvind Menon, organising secretary of BJP Madhya Pradesh, Central leadership of party is seriously thinking to remove a number organizing secretaries, who have failed to perform their duties as Sangathan Mantri in the party. Credible sources in the BJP said that a number of organizing secretaries in the BJP including that of Jammu and Kashmir, have failed to come up-to the expectation of the party leaders. Instead of fulfilling objectives of the party, these Sangathan Mantris are utilizing their energies to undermine power of the local leaders and respective State presidents of BJP in different States. Credible sources said that Central leadership of the BJP is not satisfied with the performance of incumbent Sangathan Mantri of J&K BJP, Ashok Koul because he does not has good relations with some senior leaders of the BJP. Already some senior leaders of the State unit of BJP have openly shown resentment against style of functioning of Koul. Credible sources, while taking a leaf from the removal of Arvind Menon, pointed out that like Menon, the incumbent general secretary of BJP is also very powerful and is well connected. But, like Menon, Ashok Koul, too has failed to make BJP organisation strong at grass root level. Credible sources in the BJP said that besides Sangathan Mantri of J&K, organising secretaries of nearly a dozen States are likely to be removed. National president of BJP, Amit Shah is very particular to make organisational structure of the party very vibrant and effective. He is very particular to remove those organisation secretaries who have failed to unite the party. |
