Jammu, Apr 16 : Eight students of MIET including five from Electronics and Communication Engineering, one from Computer Science Engineering and three from Information Technology Engineering got placed in Canadian Global Information Technology Group, more commonly known as CGI Group Inc., at an annual package of 2.80 lakhs per annum in the pool campus drive conducted at MIET campus. The selected students were Vikas Chib, Rachit Vaid, Aadil Fayaz Naik, Karishma Jamwal, Shuvam Sharma (ECE), Ashish Deep Singh (CSE), Rajet Veshin and Neha Gupta (IT). Officials from the CGI Group visited MIET campus and conducted rigorous selection process spanning over 3 days involving several rounds of technical tests and interviews. Dr. Arun Gupta, Chairman MIER, Dr. Renu Gupta, Director MIER, Dr. Ankur Gupta, Director MIET and Prof. SK Sharma, Director Academics MIET, while congratulating the selected students also complemented the placement team for their outstanding effort. Brig. P.N Sharma, Training and Placement Officer credited the success of the students to intensive faculty mentoring, PDP sessions and tracking of the student performance through the indigenously developed and award-winning software analytics framework Performance Insight 360. |
