Shabir Ahmed Bhat, Deputy Commissioner and Rajeshwar Singh, SSP along with other senior police officers and additional police force were camping at the university campus to defuse the situation by holding meetings with the students and BGSBU authorities. "On April 16 a tiff had taken place between a Kashmir based student and Jammu based student which was amicably solved by the university authorities.
