| Dogra Sadar Sabha convenes delegate session | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Dogra Sadar Sabha today convened a delegate session at Khour in which people from border belt participated.
According to press release, the programme was held under the chairpersonship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak.
Initiating the proceedings, Sukhdev Singh gave a brief detail of the unit of the Khour Dogra Sadar Sabha and K P Singh gave a brief historical back-ground of the DSS and its Khour unit besides above leaders Ludermeni Bhagat, Joginder Singh, Babu Ram, Sukhdev Kumar (Sarpanch) and Suraj Singh also spoke on the occasion all the delegates appreciated the secular credentials of the DSS and its role in maintaining the communal harmony during all the hours of crises.
The delegates thanked the DSS for High-lighting the issues of Khour block in Particular like those of molestation of a Khour girl by none else then the SHO of the concerned police station.
On the occasion Th. Gulchain Singh Charak while delebrating upon the issue, informed the audiences that on the persistent demand of DSS Govt of India as agreed to give the relief to the family of Chamail Singh at par with that of given to Sarbjeet Singh of Punjab.
He also mentioned that issue of further hike in remuneration and other perks of Numberdars and Chowkidars will be taken up with the new Govt. heeded by Mahbooba Mufti. He also announced that matter of recruitment and other related issues with recruitment shall be taken up with the Govt. He also demanded special recruitment drive by the police, Para-military forces and Army from the border and kandi belts of this region and appealed to the delegates to maintain communal harmony and to defeat the nefarious designs of enemies of peace. |
