Jammu, June 28 The Department of Cooperative Bank Supervision (DCBS), RBI, Jammu today conducted the 18th meeting of Task Force on Urban Co-operative Banks (TUFCUB) of Jammu and Kashmir here at RBI Conference Hall Srinagar.
According to press release, Regional Director, RBI, NK Sahu presided over the meeting while BA Bhat RCS, J&K Government, Joint Registrar, Under Secy. Co-operative Department Subhash Gupta, Chief Executive, NAFCAB, Chairmen of the four UCBs along with other officers of RBI, DCBS participated in the meeting.
During meeting the financial performance of four UCBs was reviewed and other issues relating to Supervisory Action Framework (SAF) imposed on CCBL, Jammu, appointment of Statutory Auditors for UCBs by RCS and timely completion of Audit, disqualification of members of Superseded Board, lapse of tenure of Board of Directors (BoD) of DUCBL, Udhampur and CCBL, Jammu, 97th Amendment to the Constitution, inspection reports of CCBL Jammu and UCBL, Anantnag were also discussed in the meeting.
B A Bhat stated that Statutory Auditors have been appointed in all the banks and the election for constitution of new Boards in CCBL, Jammu and DUCBL, Udhampur will be conducted soon.
Regional Director expressed concern over rising NPAs and weak financial position of CCBL, Jammu. He assured that RBI will work for development of a vibrant cooperative sector in the State. The meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by PK Jain, DGM, RBI. |
