Forces in J&K operating with outstanding synergy: Army | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 28: Denying the reports of squabbling with Central Reserve Police Force, the Udhampur based prestigious Northern Command of Army has asserted that security forces in Jammu and Kashmir are operating with outstanding synergy. In the backdrop of Pampore terror attack in which eight men of the CRPF were killed, there were reports of the Central Paramilitary Force being unhappy with Army over its hasty tweets while the encounter was still going on in Pampore. The Army's Northern Command tweeted out twice on the fateful evening claiming that it was leading the operation. However, the ground situation was reflected only in the third tweet when the handle also declared the earlier two tweets as withdrawn. Commenting on its reportage in the media, the Northern Command spokesman today said, "Certain sections of the media have reported about friction between the Army and CRPF on handling of the terrorist initiated incident at Pampore, Kashmir. It is a well known fact that all security agencies operating in Jammu and Kashmir have established outstanding synergy in their focused efforts to thwart nefarious designs of anti-national forces. It is a testimony to this synergy and jointness that the overall security situation has shown a remarkable improvement from its peak militancy levels". The spokesman further said, "Eight brave soldiers have made the supreme sacrifice for the larger cause of peace. There is no question of any agency squabbling for credit under such circumstances. Reporting on differences between Army and CRPF is unhelpful and does no credit to the excellent manner in which all security forces and intelligence agencies are working in the most challenging conditions". |
