ASKPC demands action against trespassers of Durganag temple | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 28: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) members have resolved to take to streets if government does not view and take serious action in the Durganag Srinagar temple trespassing by some local goons in connivance with some Kashmiri pandit miscreants who are indulging in illegal activities. In a meeting of ASKPC held here today, the members said that the several complaints from the members, who are lawfully residing in the complex and are legitimately involved in trust activities, have been received. It is very unfortunate that a member and social activist namely M K Koul was attacked by the goons. The members said that on approaching the police station to lodge an FIR and seek help, he was ill treated. It clearly shows that the pandits property be it private or public is treated as every man's cup of tea and free for all. The anti-social elements within the community are indulging in the illegal sale of pandit property in the valley for which ASKPC has collected many proofs. ASKPC has appealed to DG Police to take cognizance of the situation and take stern action against these renegades so that sanctity of temple is restored and grievances addressed at an earliest. |
