Jammu, Aug 14: Two minors were allegedly raped in two separate incidents on Sunday, here.
Police said that in Arnia area, a youth allegedly raped an 8 year-old girl of her locality this afternoon.
Police sources said a youth identified as Bupender Kumar alias Munna son of Sham Lal of Treva Morh riding a motorcycle reached in a park at Arnia and took the minor on his motorcycle to a lonely place on the pretext of some eatables.
Police said that he allegedly raped the girl and fled away leaving the girl in inured condition.
Later, the victim reached her home and narrated the whole incident to her parents. Police said that acting on the complaint medical examination of the girl was conducted and a case in this connection has been registered. Police said that manhunt to nab the accused is on. Meanwhile, Domana police arrested a youth who allegedly raped a minor in Purkhoo area. Police said that parents of the minor lodged complaint with Domana police that their 16 year-old daughter has been raped by one Rahul Sharma, a resident of Purkhoo area.
Police further said that acting on the complaint the accused was arrested and a case in this connection has been registered for further investigation.
