| Record 40 schools to participate in ID celebrations | | Separatist appeal for boycott ignored | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Aug 14: The 70 Independence Day function, shall witness record number of forty schools which participated in full dress rehearsal today.
As per the details available with "Early Times", DC Kishtwar and SSP Kishtwar at around 9 AM on Saturday took the salute of the parade led by Parade Commander Irshad Ahanger, Dy. SP Operation Kishtwar in which 32 school contingents comprises of forty schools participated with full enthusiasm along one Palatoon of District Police, JKAP, CRPF, CISF, Forest Protection Force and NCC participated.
While interacting with the participants, DC Kishtwar and SSP Kishtwar hails the teaching staff and trainers for training the participating schools for today's as well as for Independence Day function. Both the officers also boost the moral of the participating students and their teaching staff and hope for best performance from all of them as one unit on Independence Day function.
Both the officers also take first hand appraisal from the staff and officials of cultural cell about the cultural items to be presented by the participating schools and showed their satisfaction over the preparation of the cultural programs.
DC Kishtwar impressed upon the teaching staff to ensure discipline during the conduct of the program and also directed them to take full care of the participating students including their hassle free entry in the Independence day function venue. He also check the quality of the sound system which is to be installed at the venue. He also took stock of drinking water facility at venue along with availability of doctors and first aid facility and also take overall review of security arrangements.
The participation of huge number of schools including leading Muslim schools of Kishtwar District including Islamia Fareedia Higher Secondary School, Green Model High School, Furan Academy, Asrariya Valley Public School, Sir Iqbal Academy, etc is the healthy sign for the administration and the police which itself proved that the separatist leaders appeal to schools to boycott this year's Independence Day function falls flat and a trump over the nefarious design elements who wants to divide the society on the name of religion.
When contacted a senior police officer termed it as joint efforts of administration, police and members of civil society and school owners that record number of schools and children's are participating in this year Independence Day function added that many schools also want to participate in the national function, but due to heavy rush they were not allowed to participate added that those who fails to make entry in Independence Day function will be accommodated in Republic Day function. He said that separatist call for boycott has no trackers in Kishtwar District added that any person who will try to destabilize Peace and Tranquility will be dealt with iron hands. MoS Transport, Revenue, RDD, R&B, Agriculture Sunil Kumar Sharma will preside over this year Independence Day function and will take salute of March past and will also address the people of Kishtwar on this auspicious occasion. Elaborated security arrangements were put in place for smooth conduct of the Independence Day function. |
