Hand written posters with slogan 'Go Back' appear in Poonch | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 14: Adding fuel to the prevailing unrest in the Kashmir Valley for the past more than one-month, handwritten posters with slogans 'Go Back' has appeared in bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. ''Handwritten posters pasted by some miscreants with slogans 'Go back", appeared at the entrance of a High School at Shahdra in Thanamandi area threatening people not to celebrate Independence Day,'' police sources here today said. They said the poster also read asking people to resent atrocities on the innocent Kashmiri people at the hands of security forces. ''The poster was hand written and might have been pasted by mischievous persons impersonating as ISIS activist to create tension in the area,'' they asserted. ''The facts are being verified,'' said police and added, ''it may be a handiwork of local miscreants to create tension but we have registered a case into the matter and the culprit will not be spared.'' He further added that elaborate security arrangements are in force in Rajouri and Poonch districts and the suspects are under the surveillance,'' he claimed. |
