| GAH organizes seminar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 20: Under the guidance of Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar Director General Indian Systems of Medicine J&K ,Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized a seminar on Harar; its Identification, properties& Medicinal uses.
Dr. Taran Singh Medical Superintendent GAH Jammu said that this is the 9th lecture in the series and Government Ayurvedic Hospital has started this program in order to upgrade the knowledge of the staff working in the hospital to make people of J&K healthy . He further added that by sharing the knowledge not only we upgradeour own knowledge but also we can take Ayurvedic System of Medicine step forward which will benefit the patients and society. The main speaker was Dr. Aditi Sher M.D.( Ayurved.) While presenting her paper she explained the identification and the uses of Haritaki commonly known as Harar . She further added that Haritaki is very useful Ayurvedic medicine and is one of the ingredients of popular Ayurvedic composition Trifala. It is very effective in different diseases and well known for its Rasayan ( anti aging) effect. It is very easily available throughout Indian continent. She explained how to use Ayurvedic principles to confirm diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Earlier Dr. Deepika Sankhyadhar M.D. (Ay.) OSD Dy. Directorate ISM Jammu explained the participants about the use of correct Ayurvedic terminology. |
