Dhanwankote Kote and Chatyar residents suffer due to no road connectivity | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri Aug 20: Despite several schemes have been initiated by the union and the state government as well to create better road connectivity yet two villages catering a populace of over 07 thousands in Chatyar Dhanwan and Lowerkote of Rajouri district continue to wait for these projects to take off. According to locals the process for construction roads to connect three villages viz. Chatyar, Lowerkote and Dhanwan Kote came to existence some 15 years ago but the same still confines only in papers. "We are being discriminated by both the district administration and the public representative, they lamented and added that despite our repeated requests for in regard to expedite work on two road projects but all our efforts fall to deaf ears. They lamented that it is sad that number of roads have been constructed in adjoining localities under union government's flagship program Pardhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in tehsil Rajouri but we are deprived of these privileges. "We have submitted memorandums to concerned local MLA, Executive Engineer PWD, R&B Rajouri and others but all in vain" said residents from village Chatyar, lowerkote Dhanwan kote adding they are no option but to take to roads if their demand is not met at earliest.In a fervent appeal to Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti the locals have sought her intervention in the matter so that the locals in these far remote areas can get respite from routine suffering. |
