Early restoration of 4th Tawi Bridge demanded 8/20/2016 11:02:17 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 20: A delegation of PHDCCI Jammu Committee today called on Nirmal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister & Minister for Power Development, Housing and Urban Development, J&K Government in his office chamber at Jammu. The delegation appraised the Deputy Chief Minister about the traffic chaos on Canal Bakshi Nagar GMC Road and Canal Head-Jewel Chowk Road subsequent to closure of 4th Tawi Bridge, resulting in huge traffic Jam which last for hours effecting the residents and commercial establishments in this area. In addition the road to Government Medical College also remains blocked due to huge traffic jams and it is a matter of extreme concern that patients being carried in Ambulances are affected because of being stuck in traffic jams. The delegation presented a memorandum asking for early possible full restoration of 4th Tawi Bridge. The Chamber also stressed upon partial commissioning for light vehicles on one carriageway of Bridge. Dy CM assured for immediate action in the matter and issued directions to Managing Director JKPCC Ltd., Daleep Thusu on the spot.
