JPPF holds meeting, highlights burning issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 27: Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) held deliberations on the various issues for which the State is confronting with and urged Government to resolve them at the earliest during a meeting held here today. The members of the JPPF said that the unrest in Kashmir Valley is an unfortunate part and not only the people of Jammu province but rest of the world also knows that few disruptive elements are trying to destabilize the growing economy of our country. The initiatives initiated by the Central Government to calm down the unrest in the valley are commendable, but the JPPF is of the opinion that any talk with regard to Kashmir shall be incomplete if the Jammu and Ladakh region are not part of the dialogue. They further said that due to various reasons, the business of Jammu Province is on decline, there is no initiative from the Government to develop tourism related projects in this province, thereby the Hotels, lodges, restaurants, traders, transporters are facing lot of problems. We suggest the following issues to be taken up so as to put the business of this province on fast track. They also pointed out the employment issue and said that there are approximately 6 lacs youth in the state that is unemployed. The Central Government is putting its efforts to place them by involving various schemes and requested the Government to recruit the unemployed youth of this province by raising special battalions in belt forces. |
