Bhaderwah, Aug 27: Former Member Parliament and National Congerence senior leader, Sheikh Abdul Rehman urged the Central government to impose Governor rule in state while addressing a press conference at Suryia Hotel here day. According to press release, he said that coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir had lost people's mandate due to its vision less policies, mis-governance from the day of its formation and today Kashmir unrest is also due to wrong polices of the Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and now central government should dismiss this government. Rehman urged upon Central government to bring flexibility in his stand and involve all people with different opinions. Talk to them. Bring in all stakeholders within the ambit of dialogue and arrive at a solution that is acceptable to all. He said the peace would return to Jammu and Kashmir in particular and south Asian region in general only after the Kashmir issue is treated as a "political issue" and India and Pakistan initiate peace talks to resolve it "permanently. "As long as the two neighbouring countries continue to delay the resolution of this long standing issue, the lurking threat to peace will continue to haunt the region with each passing day", he said. He also said that autonomy for the three regions in the state is the best way to counter the perception of discrimination. He also demanded immediate restoration of mobile & internet services, constitution of committee on use of pellet guns, restoration of autonomy on the resolution passed by Jammu & Kashmir assembly in the year 1997 and a sustained dialogue with the separatists. |
