JKPS, Panjtirthi celebrates National Sports Day 8/27/2016 11:49:24 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 27: JK Public School, Panjtirthi today celebrated National Sports Day in which a special assembly was also conducted in the school premises. The assembly was meant to pay homage to the Legend of the hockey, Major Dhyan Chand, one of the best sportsmen ever to have graced the game of hockey. Kawaljeet kour conducted the morning assembly and shed some light on importance of sports. She enlightened the gathering on how sports keep us physically fit and away from all ailments. The students of the Primary wing spread light on importance of sports by performing various activities like quiz and skit related to sports. The skit played by students exhibited that extra curriculum activities are also an interim part of our lives along with studies. Sports help in overall personality development of the children. Thereafter, Suman Bamba, Principal JK Public School, Panjtirthi also exhorted that students should make sports part of their life as it develops multiple qualities in them which will help them to excel in life.
