jammu, Aug 27: Two persons working as private accountants were killed when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a truck at Greater Kailash area, this afternoon.
"The deceased has been identified as Manohar Lal (26) son of Soudagar Mal of Smailpur and Sunaina Jamwal (23) daughter of Laxman Singh of Sarore Bishnah, police sources said.
Sources said that the duo was working as private accountants and they were returning home on a motorcycle bearing registration number JKO2AU-3362, while reaching at Greater Kailash area the motorcycle collided with a truck bearing registration number PB07AS-9550.
"However truck driver managed to escape from the spot, sources said, adding, "a manhunt has been launched to nab him."
Police said that the duo died on the spot and the bodies were shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for autopsy.
Meanwhile a case in this connection has been registered. |
