Jammu, Aug 28: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged state government to regularize all daily rated workers engaged in various government departments. According to press release, chairing a meeting here today, President NMC, Subash Shastri today appealed to all members of both houses of parliament representing Jammu and Kashmir state to take up the long pending matter regarding regularization of sixty one thousands daily rated workers working in various departments. He reminded these parliamentarians and representatives that these daily rated workers, nearly 4,50000 state government employees and 1,00000 pensioners gave a clear mandate on this and other issue which paved the way for them to get elected to parliament. They should not ignore these sentiments. The workers and employee constituency commands nearly 80% of the total electorate, he added.
Addressing a well attended NMC Workers meet here, Shastri said that despite financial constrains, the States of Haryana, Himachal and Delhi governments have already addressed the grievance of salaried class and implemented the recommendations of 7th pay commission simultaneously with centre which is a employees, friendly gesture. While appreciating the good governance present regime headed by Mehbooba Mufti, Shastri expected and anticipated that similar decision at the earliest would be taken regarding implementation of 7th pay commission for state Govt. employees and pensioners and comprehensive policy along with regularization of sixty one thousand daily wagers workers by our dynamic chief Minister.
