Udhampur, Aug 28: An old man, hit by a Maruti car died near Shiv Temple, at Garhi on Udhampur National Highway. According to the police report, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02Q-1300,parked in road side near Shiv Temple Garhi suddenly moved and hit and old pedestrian. Locals rushed to the spot and took the injured person to Primary Health Center (PHC) Garhi but PHC was found locked . He was then rushed to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared him brought dead. After accident, locals protested and blocked the national highway. They raised slogans against the CMO Udhampur. The deceased was identified as Bramdeal (66) son of Sunder Dass of Garhi. Rehambal police registered the case and further investigation is on. |
