| School owner encroachs state land, Police fails to take action | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Aug 28: A school owner has been allegedly encroaching the state land for constructing additional buildings while as Police have been failed to take the action despite complaint lodged by the then Thesildar Mendhar in Gohlad area the sources said here today. Chairman of Public Hihger Secondary school Gohlad in Mendhar tehsil, Mohd Younis son of Sher Mohd has been constructing illegally additional multi - storey buildings for his school on the land under khasra No 554 which is said to be a state land measuring 5 kanals. Sources said the said owner has encroached the land illegally and even has shown on fake documents the graveyard as play ground of the school to BOSE authorities people had complained the Sub Divisional Magistrate , Mendhar several times regarding the matter who ordered to stop illegal construction with immediate effect vide his letter no SDM/433 dated 20-7-2016. But the chairman ignored the government order and continued the construction. The then tehsildar Salamdin had also lodged a complaint with SHO Mendhar but the police failed to take the action for the reasons best known to them when contacted SDPO Shahid Naeem said the FIR will be lodged soon against the school owner and action as per law will be taken, he added.
