Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 2: Fast Track Court's presiding officer Kishore Kumar today framed rape charges against Khour police station's ex-SHO Mohammad Iqbal. The charges were framed under sections 376(2)(A)(iii) and 342 of RPC. Charges against ex-SPO Mamta Kumari, who had taken the victim from the police station lockup to the SHO, were framed under section 376/109 and 342 of RPC. The girl, who was allegedly raped by the ex-SHO, had fled home on October 27, 2015 with one Vicky Kumar and gone to Katra where they stayed for the night. Next day, they came to Akhnoor and solemnised marriage with him in the Akhnoor court. After marriage, she again went to Katra along with her husband. In the evening, her Vicky's cousin called him up and told him that cops of Pallanwala police post had taken his father into custody and were now asking them to surrender. On October 29, 2015, they went to the Pallanwala police post. On the same day, police took them to Khour police station. According to the complaint lodged by her with SDPO, Akhnoor, she alleged that while her husband was kept in the lockup, a lady cop took her to her quarter. In the night, she asked her to go to the room of SHO and obey his orders. "I did not agree and never went to the room of SHO. Next day, she and her husband remained lodged in the police station. In the night, SPO Mamta Devi took her to the room of SHO. When I reached the room, he switched off the lights and forcibly committed rape upon me for about two hours and thereafter Mamta had threatened her to send her husband to jail in case she disclosed the incident to anyone. Because of her threat, she did not disclose the incident to anyone," she alleged in her complaint. |
