| Financial irregularity detected at treasury Bani | | |  Early Times Report
Bani, Sept 2: On routine scrutiny of the salary bill of Tehsildar Bani, it was detected that the official namely Shiv Kumar who is also I/C Tehsildar Bani and Drawing and disbursing Officer (DDO) of Treasury Bani was fraudulently drawing pay in the higher post to which he was appointed on stop gap appointment in his own pay and grade with charge allowance.
However official was drawing pay on the higher post (9300-34800+4800) and also charge allowance amounting to Rs 1150 which is serious financial irregularity.
It was also found that the official was not regularized on that pay scale in which he was claiming pay since last three years. On the basis of this pay scale, he drew Travelling Allowance at extravagant rate i.e @ Rs 10 per Km which is inadmissible as per TA rules of JKCSR hence resulting in loss to state exchequer.
On detection of this financial irregularity Treasury officer Bani raised objection vide Treasury Memo no 1383 dated 31/08/2016 against salary bill thereafter Tehsildar Bani submitted fresh bill with reduced pay scale(9300-34800+4280) however recovery on account of excess drawal of TA and salary is still awaited as DDO. |
