Jammu, Sept 2: General Railway Police (GRP) Jammu today arrested two persons and recovered cannabis (Ganja) from their possession. "During routine checking at Railway Station Jammu, a police team from police post GRP East intercepted two persons and during search 5 packets (5 Kg) of cannabis (Ganja) was recovered from their possession", said SSP GRP, Rajinder Kumar Gupta SSP-GRP Mr Gupta said that both the accused have been identified as Sahil Sharma Alias Kaka son of Late Kuldeep Sharma of Gangyal, Munish Kumar Alias Mani Lal son of Shakal Dev Rai Yadav of Patna (Bihar). "The duo was arrested on the spot and the recovered consignment was seized", said SSP-GRP, adding that the arrest and recovery was made by a team led by SI Surinder Pal Singh, in-charge police post GRP East under the overall supervision of Rajinder kumar Gupta, SSP Railways Jammu. Meanwhile a case under FIR No 18/2016 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at GRP Police Station Jammu and further investigations are on. Police said that there is a likelihood of few more arrest to be made in this case very soon after the questioning of accused will be completed. |
