| Residents of Supwal hold demonstration over bad road | | |  Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Sept 2: Residents of village Nai Basti of Supwal area of tehsil Vijaypur today staged a protest demonstration against administration over bad condition of the road.
A large number of villagers led by the general secretary BSP Datta Ram raised slogans against the local administration for its apathetic attitude towards dilapidated condition of the roads which has been in bad condition for the last many time.
Addressing the protestors, Datta Ram said that we had approached the concerned department many a times for the immediate redressal of the road, due to which the people of area are suffering huge inconvenience, but it turned a deaf ear to our plights. He further said that even an irrigation canal in the village is broken at many points due to which water spill over the canal and spread in road thereby the students have to face huge difficulty while going to school. He also criticized the local MLA for not giving heed to the problems of the area and said that if their issues were not redressed soon, they will again lodge protest against him. Those who were present in the protest included Tirlok Singh, Surjeet Singh, Byaso Devi, Archna Kumari and Sushma Devi. |
