Early Times Report kathua, Sept 2: Municipal Council Kathua today woke upto a call by residents to reign in stray animals from entire town that usually attack on public and can been seen everywhere on road, hospitals, markets and public places. A drive to pick stray animals was launched under the supervision of KK Chalotra chief executive officer MC Kathua. While informing about the drive, Chalotra informed that MC delayed to pick stray animals due to unavailability of particular vehicle, infrastructure and cattle pond. He said," Today, duly supported by district administration that provided vehicle, MC launched drive and held dozens of stray animals." The officer informed that some people left their pet cattle outside for pasturing after milking that usually harmed general public, affect beauty/sanitation of the town. He informed that no pet animal would be released till an affidavit for not leaving animals outside the house in open and submission of fine Rs 1000/- per animal. The officer informed that two day's trail drive will be continued in routine to make control on stray animals and lethargic attitude of their owners. |
