| Self-defence training for women organized | | | Early Times Report
kathua, Sept 2: District Police Kathua today organized 12th women self defence module under the guidelines and supervision of SSP Kathua Neeva Jain.
The training module was organized at Government G.L. Dogra Memorial Degree College Hiranagar.
This is the second training module conducted in Hiranagar area to provide opportunity especially to the young girls of the border belt of the District Kathua.
Around 160 participants from different institutions especially from border area are participating in this training camp.
It is pertinent to mention here that in these seven days training module the participants shall be given training on self defence techniques and awareness about legal provisions for crime against women.
The camp was inaugurated by the principal of the college Professor Naresh Gupta .
On the occasion DySP Deewakar Singh SDPO Border , Rakesh Sambyal DySP (Prosecution) Co-ordinator, Inspr Amit Sangra SHO Hiranagar, Resource persons Suraj Bhagat, Gursharan kumar, Trishla Devi, Tara Rajput, Manisha Devi , Rubina Bano along with staff of different institutions were also present.
Naresh Gupta , principal appreciated Kathua police and especially SSP Kathua for taking such initiative for betterment of society and for anti drug drive to make drug free society.
SDPO Border while speaking on the occasion briefed the importance of self defence techniques for school and college going girls to counter any untoward situation.
He also appreciated principal Degree College, participants, college management for their kind cooperation and support in organizing training camp. |
