NSPU holds protest demonstration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 12: NPSU held a strong protest demonstration against Dy. CM for remaining silent and a mute spectator over the mortification of Maharaja of Jammu during song sung by Punjabi singer at Katra during All India Devotional song competition. The activists of NPSU burned the effigy of Dy. CM during the protest and raised slogans 'Dy. CM hai hai', " Maharaja kaa apman Nahin saheygay Nahin saheygay". The protest was led by Thakur Virender Singh State President NPSU .While interacting with media person. Singh lambasted the derogatory remarks regarding character of Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir during the event held at Katra. It was disgusting that the Prof. Nirmal Singh Dy. CM of the state who is a professor of modern history and an expert in modern history of J&K state did not even object the derogatory remark on Maharaja of Jammu and kept silence on the issue. Singh added that this is really matter of concern that before elections BJP which assured respect to the Dogras in every aspect now does not bothered about the respect of Dogra community. The remark made in the event is really highly condemnable but the silence of Dy. CM who was presiding over the function have hurted the sentiments of Dogras by not objecting the siger by singing the songs. Singh said that Maharaja Hari Singh was a great ruler of Jammu and Kashmir who had played a vital role in upliftment of the State. |
