Jat Biradari pays tribute to Gurnam Singh | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 23: The Jat Biradari has paid floral tributes to the martyr jawan of Border Security Force (BSF), Gurnam Singh, who succumbed to the bullet injuries this morning. A condolence meeting of the Jat Biradari was held today under the president ship of President J&K Jat Biradari and former Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ch Piara Singh at R.S Pura this afternoon. The meeting while paying floral tributes to the martyr jawan expressed condolences with the bereaved family. Ch. Piara Singh has urged upon the government of Jammu and Kashmir to provide adequate compensation to the next of kin of those who sought martyrdom in the line of duty. He demanded that the families of those who made supreme sacrifices in Uri attack and Gurnam Singh be given compensation at par with other states. While describing their sacrifices as priceless Ch Piara said the nation is duty bound to ensure the livelihood of dependents of these brave hearts. Others who were present in the meeting include Sham Choudhary, Minister for PHE, Tirlok Singh Bajwa former MP, S. Manjit Singh and Ch Garu Ram former ministers, Surinder Choudhary MLC, Ch Vikram Randhawa BJP leader and Sonam Aulakh. |
