NC, Cong support sack anti-national employees | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 23: Just for the sake of opposition, leaders of Congress and National Conference (NC) are criticizing the state government which has sacked government employees for their involvement in anti-national activities. Congress, which claims to be nationalist, is speaking different language in different regions. In Jammu, Congress leaders have not uttered even a single word against decision of the state government to sack anti-national employees while in Kashmir Valley Congress leaders are supporting those employees whose involvement in anti-India activities have been established. Within hours after state government sacked some employees who were involved in anti-India activities, Congress leaders were quick to react. On Friday, Congress had termed the move of state government to sack employees as "political vendetta". In a statement, it warned of serious consequences if the PDP-BJP coalition government failed to revoke the termination orders. Describing the step taken by the Govt as unfortunate, Congress spokesperson from Valley stated that Congress party was dismayed over this "anti employee and vicious campaign" on the part of state government against its employees. Similarly NC on Saturday flayed Chief Minister for adopting "vindictive and punitive agenda" against Government employees. NC provincial president of Kashmir Nasir Aslam Wani asked government to immediately reinstate the suspended Government employees. He said that targeting Government employees for the current unrest was a regressive and counterproductive approach. Wani said the party stands in solidarity with the Government employees and will continue to seek their restoration and dignified reinstatement. "We stand with the employees and will do whatever is necessary to ensure they get justice and aren't tormented", Wani added. |
