| Sangarsh threatens agitation against MC Rajouri if demands not fulfilled | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 28: The activists of Sangarsh- A civic movement held a press conference at Rajouri and showed its acute concern over the booking fees fixed by Rajouri Municipal Council for the booking of newly constructed Town Hall . The movement also lambasted MC Rajouri for the non implementation of the memorandum submitted for the welfare of Rajouri. Interacting with the media Shoket Ali Vice President of the movement raised it as the matter of public interest regarding the huge private sector type booking of community hall that is built by the government out of the taxes paid by the common man . Shoket claimed that booking fee of Rs 30000 for the public property is a sort of mockery with common man and demanded to cut it not more than 10000 rupees where 5000 rupees should remain security . Also interacting Vikrant Sharma claimed that on one side GOI and state government is launching public oriented schemes for the welfare of downtrodden section of the society and on the other side setting such huge booking fee is a contradiction. Sharma appealed to ensure the free booking for BPL section with some security such that in real sense the emancipation of weaker section could be realized. District Observer Sangarsh Israr Mirza threatened to launch an agitation if the genuine demand not fulfilled.
