GDC Udhampur organizes Declamation Contest

UDHAMPUR, Feb 17: An Intra College Declamation contest was organized by Govt Degree College Udhampur in its campus on the topic "Effect of Demonetization on the life of common man".
The chief guests of the event were Prof Dr. Prakash Anthal from Department of Economics, University of Jammu and Prof Dr. Yash Pal Sharma from Department of Botany, University of Jammu. The programme was presided over by Principal of the college Prof Dr. SK Magotra who in his speech welcomed the guests and encouraged the students to participate in such literary activities which would groom them into a balanced personality.
The event was organized by Dr. Shubhra Jamwal, Dr. Rippy Bawa, Prof. Anuradha Kalsi, Prof. Tania Akhter and Aditi Magotra. The competition was adjudged by Prof Rakesh Choudhary and Prof Ayaz Ahmad. Certificates of merits were awarded to the winners: Kamil Singh, Akhter Hussain and Rahul Sharma, First, Second and Third respectively.
