CTA clarifies about news published in media

JAMMU, Feb 22: A joint meeting of office bearers of College Teachers Association (CTA) Jammu and Kashmir wing was held today in Jammu to discuss the press statement published in some newspapers regarding misinformation campaign against Dr. Asgar Samoon, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department J&K Govt.
As per press statement, the Association said that Association has been in constant contact with Dr Asgar Samoon now for about more than a year and during this time the Association is impressed by his behavior and have never observed him using offensive or denigratory language in his dealings with the Association. On the other hand he has been polite, forthcoming, cooperative and interactive in his approach .Dr.Asgar Samoon has been instrumental and deeply involved in resolving most of the issues pertaining to college fraternity. He has taken many initiatives like encouraging research activities in colleges, authorizing college teachers to act as guide /Co Guides, bringing out research journals in various subjects, inspiring college teachers for taking research projects ,organizing orientation programmes for newly appointed college teachers, issuing orders for placement of about 350 college teachers, fast track creation, completion and development of infrastructure in colleges and Universities of J&K state and many other initiatives so as to take the Higher Education in the state to new heights.
The Association further resolved that the misinformation against Dr.Samoon is baseless, misleading and fabricated just to malign the name of an Honest, Dedicated, Resolute Officer.
