Re-appoints 28 revenue officers/officials as Revenue Consultants

srinagar, Feb 22: The word 'consultant' has become a convenient term for the state government to re-employ or re-engage retired officials. In a latest move the Department of Revenue has re-appointed some of the retired revenue officials.
Department of Revenue has issued an order according to which 28 revenue officers/officials have been engaged as consultants on contractual basis. The re-engagement has been carried out in accordance with the implementation of JaKLaRMA/Settlement Organization.
The retired officials have been reappointed for implementation of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme in Jammu & Kashmir. The engagement is yet another episode of the re-engagement of retired officers as well as officials in Jammu & Kashmir.
As many as three retired Naib Tehsildars, six retired Girdawars and four retired patwaris have been re-engaged for the implementation of the programme in the Jammu division of the state. The waiting list of retired Naib Tehsildars has also been prepared by the Department of Revenue.
For the Kashmir division three retired Naib Tehsildars, six retired Girdawars and six retired Patwaris have been re-engaged for the implementation of 'Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme'. The re-engaged revenue officials have been designated as Revenue Consultants.
The appointing authority has also compiled a waiting list for retired Naib Tehsildars for Jammu division while as waiting list for retired Naib Tehsildars and retired Girdawars for Kashmir division. The selected officers/officials are going to work in the office of Regional Director, Survey and Land Records, Jammu and Srinagar respectively.
In the Jammu division, Mohammad Sarwar Lone, Virinder Singh and Des Raj have been selected as Revenue Consultants under the category of retired Naib Tehsildars. Ram Rattan, Mohammad Shafi, Waryam Singh, Surjeet Singh, Babu Ram Dutta and Kamal Singh have been selected as Revenue Consultants under the category of retired Girdawars. Jagdev Singh, S. Daljeet Singh, Janak Raj and Ali Ahmad Shah have been selected as Revenue Consultants under the category of retired Patwaris.
As far as Kashmir division is concerned Ghulam Mohammad Wani, Abdul Rahman Najar and Ghulam Nabi Kirmani have been selected as Revenue Consultants under the category of retired Naib Tehsildars. Ghulam Nabi Tantray, Ghulam Hussain Shah, Ghulam Nabi Malik, Ghulam Qadir Ganie, Abdul Hamid Hakeem and Abdul Gani Baba have been selected as Revenue Consultants under the category of retired Girdawars. Under the category of retired Patwaris, Abdul Rehman Khan, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Mohammad Ramzan Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Beigh, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din and Ali Mohammad Dar were appointed as Revenue Consultants in Kashmir.
In the Jammu division the re-engagement of retired officers/officials of Revenue department has been done in respect of Jammu, Udhampur, Doda and Rajouri districts. For the Kashmir division the re-engagement has been done with regards to Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Bandipora, Anantnag and Kupwara districts.
