Vehicle lifter held, stolen motorcycle recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: In continuation to operation 'Chetak', a special drive against vehicle theft cases launched by Jammu Police, today Domana Police apprehended one vehicle lifter and recovered one stolen motor cycle. Police spokesman said that on Feb 3 , one Anil Mehra of Durga Nagar Bantalab, Jammu lodged a written complaint at police post Chinore that some unknown person stolen his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AR-9039 from Durga Nagar Bantalab, Jammu. On this, a case under FIR No. 39/2018 under relevant sections of law was registered at Domana police station and investigation started by team AVTAR of Police Station Domana. "During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up and efforts were continued to recover the stolen motorcycle", said spokesman adding that today one Ajay Sharma of Ghar Majoor Tehsil Chowki Choura presently staying at Durga Nagar Bantalab, Jammu during questioning admitted his involvement in above said theft case and on his disclosure above said stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession. The arrest and recovery was made by In-charge police post Chinore, SI Rajesh Kumar with the guidance of SHO Domana, Inspector Sumit Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Domana, Sandeep Gupta and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh. |
