Crime Branch harassing youth, allege Rasana residents
Nocturnal raids force 25 families to migrate
2/27/2018 11:25:23 PM
Early Times Report

Kathua, Feb 27: The alleged harassment by the Crime Branch, probing the rape and murder case of a nomad girl, is forcing the people to migrate from Rasana village in Hiranagar constituency.
Sources told Early Times that families are taking a shelter at government school and at least 25 families have migrated from Rasana village.
Locals alleged that Crime Branch is harassing youth and they are leaving their homes to evade persecution by the Crime Branch.
"Sleuths of Crime Branch are arresting our children and are pressurizing them," they said, "Nocturnal raids being carried out by the CB sleuths has made our lives miserable."
"This is happening in our area for the first time. We have been living here for decades but now we are being forced to migrate from our village," they added.
Kant Kumar, former sarpanch of Kota told Early Times that district administration is trying to suppress their voice and section 144 has been imposed to threaten people.
Pertinently, residents of Rasana village are demanding that rape and murder case of the nomad girl should be handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation for the investigation as they "don't trust" the Crime Branch.
