SHO running from pillar to post for his transfer

Jammu, Feb 27: A senior Inspector posted in one of the Police Station in Jammu province as Station House Officer (SHO) for more than four years is running from pillar to post for his transfer in Jammu-Kathua-Samba range eying prime posting as SHO in Jammu District.
The sources told the "Early Times" that the said SHO approached the senior police officials several times with the request for his transfer from the said District but all in vain.
The sources said the said Inspector was neither replaced nor transferred as the police official feel that they don't have any replacement to head the said police station that falls within the ambit of highly volatile and communally sensitive area.
They added that said Inspector was transferred by the incumbent Inspector General of Police Jammu Range soon after he (IG Jammu) assumed the charge, but the DIG and the SSP of the zone did not relieve the said inspector as they failed to find out a suitable police officer to replace him.
The sources said that during his short shifting period of 5-6 months, the District SP replaced three Inspectors from the post of SHO of the said police station as they fail to perform the duty up to the satisfaction of the concern SSP.
After approaching the senior police officials, the senior police officials' promised him that he will be transferred in the month of February 2018, but nothing has moved till date.
The said inspector has been accrued of bypassing his immediate seniors/ he has also been accused of harassing the people and the street vendors.
The said officer not only uses proxies, but also misbehaves with the local media. He threatens them of defaming them in public. He also threatens them of checking their bank accounts.
