Shiv temple creaves for official attention | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Feb 27: Old Shiv temple situated in meddle of the hills in Ari area of Mendhar Sub Division is creaving for Government attention as the shrine has gone bad to worse condition, the locals said today. Ari area of Mendhar is mostly populated by Muslims who take utmost care of the shrine and have urged the Panchayat department to take care of the old Shiv temple which is in dilipiadated condition. The compound wall of the temple is to be constructed besides renovation of temple and laying of tiles in the premises should be done on priority to prevent its pristine glory the locals said while talking to Early Times. They said it will become a tourist destination if maintained properly. Early Times interacted with Shiv Mandir committee incharge Ranjeet Sharma who also highlighted the problems including construction of drain as compound witness water logging during rains. He said this is a wonderful place and people of this area often after in helping hand but that was not sufficient. We urge concerned authorities to pay attention towards. This shrine and develop it as tourist destination, he added. |
